In the wake of the Luna collapse, we’ve seen a call for an increased pace on the legal front, especially where stablecoins are concerned.
On a recent interview of Michael Saylor on Natalie Brunell’s channel, Michael explained that by SEC chairman Gary Gensler’s language, bitcoin is property, tokens of L1 and L2 protocols are securities, and be design, that would make crypto exchanges subject to the same laws and regulations of disclosure as stock exchanges (which would also mean that projects that wanted to list with crypto exchanges would be subject to the same rules of disclosure [and transparency]). That makes sense, and I could see that happening, insofar as the activity of having a formal exchange set up for the purpose of buying and selling coins and tokens. That said, long live DEXes.
On a personal observation, the prices for video cards have been declining. I imagine that less experienced people who purchased cards for mining during the frothier times in 2021 might be having buyers regret. I saw this in 2018 and we’re seeing it again, so if you’re in the market for a new GPU, now is the time to start shopping around and watching prices. (Plus, Nvidia recently released the RTX 3090ti card, so the premium on higher-end cards has disappeared.)
