Interesting tidbit. It’s worth remembering that bitcoin is:
- Global
- Permissionless (anyone can opt-in and participate)
- Censorship-resistant (anyone with an internet connection can participate, regardless of jurisdiction
- Decentralized (no one entity controls it and can therefore manipulate the blockchain record)
- Distributed (see #1 and #4 – as long as someone, somewhere is running a full node recording the blockchain transactions, bitcoin still lives)
